Flood's Teaser paintings focus on animal tails as a muse to the world of high fashion. She creates medium-sized paintings, in acrylic on canvas, portraying animals that use their tails to send specific messages to an audience through embellishment and/or movements. Backgrounds are often inspired by richly patterned silk fabrics, and the animals are spot-lit so that they emit a nebulous, otherworldly glow. Teaser suggests a connection between the un-self-conscious posturing of animals and the extravagant theatrical display of garments modeled on the catwalk.
